Although Jeff was born in Wisconsin and raised in Nebraska and Minnesota, he’s lived most of his life in Atlanta and the Southeast. After Gordon Military College and his tour of duty in Okinawa, Jeff spent 20 years in the world of insurance and financial services, half of which were at Officer levels.
He has spent the past 13 years in retained, professional and executive recruiting and is currently the Executive Vice President for Smith James Group, Inc. in Roswell, GA. Jeff has been a guest speaker for many trade associations, chambers of commerce, churches, pageants, schools and teacher development programs. He has served on the Society of Human Resource Management’s (SHRM’s) Mentoring, Volunteer, Expo, Excellence and Certification Committees and has been a SHRM Certification Instructor. Jeff has been the Chairman for Gwinnett County’s Chamber of Commerce Education Committee for the past 4 years. He has also been the Vice Chair and Program Director for the Chamber’s Human Resource Management Association for the past 2 years. He sits on a number of County and State school advisory committees, has been associated with the Georgia Speakers Association and has served as an Optimist International and GA Department of Education Oratorical Contest Judge. Under the name “Real World” Presentations, Jeff offers 24 training and development seminars.
