I Have A Dream

I have a dream that we as Christian believers may dig down into our souls, search our hearts and confront our minds. As believers we are or at least should be fighting battles between our mind and our heart and soul. Its that "I do what I dont want to do and dont do what I want to do" condition. We want to follow the directions given to us by God, yet our worldly training and personal experience and simple habit seems to always detour us before we even realize it. When we are around our Christian friends it is fairly easy. When we get into our business life it becomes much more difficult. We forget the new identity given to us by Jesus Christ or we simply dont fully trust in that new identity or we simply want to postpone assuming our new identity. We have religion, but perhaps not enough of the faith and trust that is all part of the Christian life. I have a dream that we who are in business will in fact assume our new identities. We now have the heart, soul and mind of Jesus Christ. The old self is gone, history, over. Jesus was a gatherer of people, He said come unto me. He was a supporter, He asked how can I help you? He was a provider, He filled the nets with fish and fed the five thousand. He brought people together for the good of all. He assembled the Apostles. He wanted a unified population of the same heart and spirit of God as a living witness of Himself and the good and well-being He brings to others. I have a dream that we in business could become as our mentor Jesus Christ. I have a dream or call it a vision, that we could come together and be supporters of one another and for one another by asking with sincerity, how can I help you? And continuing that dream, that we could all provide for one another, expressing, seeking and satisfying our business, personal and spiritual needs. That dream or vision assembles all who do, or truly seek to, reflect the heart and spirit of God in our personal and business lives. That we may be a unified witness in business of how the power of God, the heart of God and the truth of God really does make a difference in our businesses and in our lives for everyone to see. I have a dream that we could all find just a little regular time for one another, letting God work through each one of us and giving God greater opportunity to work miracles in our lives, all through one another. I envision a better life for all of us. A better life because as Jesus looked out for the well being of His flock, we too are looking out for the well being of one another. I have a dream that all of us, having the heart of Jesus, knowing that as we give and serve through faith, our giving and serving will be returned to us many times over, that we will have more prosperous lives and easier lives because of one another. The dream is that we as believers could all more greatly accept and live out our responsibility to Jesus Christ, to God and to one another. We are all aware of these responsibilities, the Bible is full of them. Yet, we ignore or repress these responsibilities. Romans chapter 1 warns us of the consequences of this repression. We all know that our good deeds are not what gets us through the pearly gates, but Romans chapter 2 is clear that we will be judged on the basis of our good deeds. To some, this may be a little arm-twisting. But to those who have internalized the heart of God and the mind of Jesus and living by faith is a way of life, good deeds, service to one another, care and concern for one another simply come naturally. There is always time for a brother or sister just as there is always time for the Father and His Son. "So then, whenever we have the opportunity, let us work together for the good of all, and especially for those in the family of faith". Galatians 6:10 I have a dream to provide the opportunities for us all to help and support one another through our faith in God and Jesus Christ. And I have a vision that we truly can be a genuine community of faith coming together for the good of all. What a joyful wonderful life, life could be for each and every one of us if we could move our faith more fully from our heads into our hearts and souls and truly be of service and support to one another. Lets get rid of the philosophy "If it is to be, its up to me". Jesus said, knock and the door will be opened, seek and you shall find. This means too, that there is someone who opens the door and a provider who provides. The Atlanta Christians in Business Network is the opportunity for us all to ask and seek. It is a place for us all to open doors for one another and help provide for one another. Life and business is simply better together. Search your heart, dig into your soul and confront your mind and let the Holy Spirit in. We are heavens ambassadors and this is a dress rehearsal for our life to come. See the Dream. Catch the Vision. And lets do business and life the way it is meant to be, through Jesus Christ, with and for one another. Sincerely, Michael Eilermann |
