About Christian Community

The Atlanta Christians in Business Network is pure and simple.  It is about becoming the community the Bible instructs us to be.  When there is Genuine Christian community, there is a natural bi-product, business networking at it's finest.

Christian community in business is simply over-looked and neglected, even though in the workplace is where we spend the majority of our time and efforts.

ACIBN is here to help us change all that !

The Atlanta Christians in Business Network is here solely to help us all serve one another and be served by one another as Jesus has told us to do.  This includes serving and supporting each other in business and helping each other meet our business needs.  When this happens, all our our lives will become easier.  When this happens work becomes a little easier and we have more time to spend on what matters to us.  Our life also takes on a new level of significance.

Our purpose in life is to love and serve God and to love and serve one another.  Do you truly believe that, or is it something you think you can put off till some other time?

Our mission in life is to be transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.  He himself said that he came to serve, not to be served.   Scripture gives us the vision of community and tells us how to accomplish that community through our service to one another.

There are three components of Service:

  • The willingness to serve one another
As Christians, the Holy Spirit gives us the desire and willingness to serve.  As believers and as receivers of God's grace and mercy, we are compelled to serve out of thankfulness and gratitude.

  • The willingness to be served
This is the truly hard part, the part where we have to be open enough and transparent enough to share our needs with our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Leaving our pride behind is a difficult thing, but the results are phenomenal.  We need to be able to share with others what we need and what we want.
We have to give them the opportunity to serve us.

  • Being Available with our talents and abilities
Service to others does not have to be painful, it can simply be doing the things we are good at.  It can be in areas where we have a natural talent or ability, or even a hobby.  We do not know where needs can be met, but when we share everything we can do, it makes it much easier for the other person to ask for our help and services.   We all have gifts from God.  Those gifts are to be used for His Kingdom here and now.

The outcome and results of Genuine Christian Community and service...

It's simple once again

  • All of our needs are being met,

  • We are fulfilling our life's purpose,

  • We are fulfilling our life's mission,

  • We become significant in someone else's life.

  • And in turn, others become significant to us.

We are all looking for significance.  It comes only through our service to others and when we do it in the name of Jesus Christ, we glorify God in the process.  Everyone is happy.  Everyone's needs are being met with much less effort.  And God is pleased that His family is serving one another and Him at the same time.

When so many people are thinking of so many other people, great things happen.

"So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those in the family of faith."
Galatians 6:10
